Rock On!

Road Trips - Being in a car for hours alone...not fun.  Being in a car for hours with friends...awesome!  The random stops, the snacks, the music.  It's a party in a car!

Running - Now this one is kind of a lie.  I don't LOVE running.  It really isn't my favorite, but I'm trying to learn to love it!  Once I get off my lazy butt and do it, I kind of start to enjoy it.  It's really the getting up that is hard.

Rumors - I can't help it.  I'm a gossip.  I try hard to not spread things but it's almost like my mouth just can't stay shut sometimes.  I'm working on it, alright.

Red Velvet Cake - Specifically from California Pizza Kitchen, but even better than that is the Red Velvet Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory.  Yum, yum, yum!

Ring - I love my ring.  It's perfect and beautiful and I love wearing it.  It makes me feel pretty.

Scrapbooking

Yesterday I went scrapbooking with a couple of my sisters-in-law.  I am a total newbie so I wasn't expecting much.  Let's be honest, I pretty much expected to get frustrated and quit.  BUT...I didn't!  I finished 6 pages of my honeymoon pictures and had a great time doing it.  Now I can't wait to start in on the wedding pictures.  Yay for hobbies!

Q.....no title

Queen - I used to rock out to Queen when I was in elementary school and now it is a really fun high school/road trip memory for me.  My friend Molly ADORES Queen, and can't help but love it as well.  We've had some good times together, Queen and I.

Quality Time - I've never been one who needed to be out doing something exciting.  I am perfectly content just sitting with friends and chatting.  A lot of people don't get it, but it's really all I need.

Quotes - (I know, it's a stretch) but there are so many great movie quotes out there.  There is nothing funnier than when a good quote fits into real conversation.  It's a blast.

bad wife

I'm kind of a jerk.

I guilted Kurt about playing with his friends instead of staying home with me.

It was kind of a joke.  But then he actually started feeling guilty

....and then I felt guilty.

I made him go.

I couldn't live with the pressure.

Crafty??

Check out those mad skills!  The coloring in the picture isn't that great, but the scarf itself is pretty cute.  It's purple and has sparkles.  I crocheted it all by myself! (Thanks for the lesson Natalie!)

Party On

Procrastination - Ok, so maybe I don't love this, but you've probably noticed that my blog has been a little bit bare these last few months.  I'm lazy.  I don't really have a lot going on right now so there isn't much to write about.

Pushing Daisies -This show is amazing.  The dialog is so fun and it's set in such a beautiful world.  I got so emotionally attached to the characters.  It's such a shame that it only went on for 2 seasons.  However, I have both so I can watch it whenever I want.

Purple - Everything in my life right now is always purple.  I would love to paint our room purple, but now I'm married.  Boys don't enjoy that kind of thing.   I can't wait to get my own house so I can decorate parts of it however I want.

Post Secret - I have been checking Post Secret every Sunday for years.  I think it is such a great project that everyone can be a part of.  I love that it lets people release their secrets into the world for other people to hear.

Property Virgins - I just discovered this show last night but I really liked it.  It's all about people going through a bunch of houses and eventually buying their first house.  It feeds my addiction to finding a place for us.

Teen Mom

Tonight is the season finale of Teen Mom.  I am completely addicted to this show!  Their lives are so interesting and SO different than mine!  I can't imagine how different my life would be if I had a baby by now.  I'm really glad that Kurt and I decided to wait a few years to have one.

These teen moms have got it tough.  Basically the only one who is still with her "baby daddy" is Catelynn and they adopted their baby to another couple.  Single moms have got to be the strongest people in the world!  I have some pretty intense respect for them!

Demolition Derby

Last night I went to my very first demolition derby.  I know what you're thinking.  I'm a nascar fan.  I'm a redneck.  How can I not have done this before?  I don't know,  but it was awesome!  There was a car section and a truck section and they were both so cool!  It seems like a good way to get out some aggression.

Day 1 - actually

So I really shouldn't have titled my last post "day 1" when I had not done it yet.  Day one is officially over and man!  I hurt.  But hurting is good right?

Day 1

Today is day 1 of my 30 days with Jillian.  I am expecting blood, sweat, and tears.  Wish me luck!

OMG

Organization - I crave organization in my life.  When the space around me is a mess, I am a mess.  Currently, I am a mess.  Hopefully as soon as this cold gets out of my system I can crank the organizing into high gear!

Ocean - I am missing it like crazy!  I loved the nice warm water in Mexico.  I never wanted to get out.  I have a strong connection with the ocean.  A lot of my favorite times were spent there.  Now if only I could find a way to move it closer.

Open Minds - If only the world was a little more open minded.  I see things like "Burn a Koran Day," and it makes me want to cry.  If we could all just try and understand each other a little more, everything would be a lot simpler.

Olive Garden - Oh the gluttony.  I love the breadsticks.  I love the salad.  I love the soup.  I love the pasta.  I love the drinks.  I love everything about it!  On one hand I want them to put one in Centerville, but on the other, I'd probably weigh 50 more pounds if they did.

My Labor Day Weekend

This is pretty much what my labor day weekend looked like.  I started feeling sick Friday night and I'm still not doing so great.  Aren't people supposed to get sick in the winter?  Not the beginning of fall! Bah!

Now It's Time For....

Natalie - This lady is one party animal.  I love being around her because she is always up for whatever.  She's so much fun.  She is very accepting and I love her because of that.  We've been pals since high school and even though some of the times have been rocky, I know that she'll always be there for me through thick and thin. I adore her.

Newsies -Oh man.  Back in the jr high days I watched Newsies all the time.  We were never smart enough to just go buy it, so we'd rent it at Top Hat over and over and over.  We probably warped the dvd or something.  But mmm mmm that Jack Kelly. It leaves me singing a tune just thinking about it.

Nascar - Now don't judge.  I am a redneck at heart.  I love going out to Vegas for the races.  It's like grown up girl bonding time for Heather and I.  It is also nice to spend some time with other rednecks, because we are much less redneck in comparison!

New Years Eve - I love tradition.  I love that every New Years Eve my friends and I light a fire and burn the previous year.  We bring things to symbolize the past year and toss them in as an attempt to make new resolutions.  I also loved spending New Years Eve partially with Kurt's friends this year.  Completely different experience, same good time. :)

Naps - (Shut it, Mary!)  I am a lover of naps.  I can't help it.  Sleeping in the afternoon is the best!  Getting up early like I have been the last few months has made this love affair even deeper.  Napping with Kurt or my cat is even better.

What do I do next?

So my bff Andrea is moving to France in less than a week.  I'm trying to be a good friend and support her, but I am freaking out.  We've been friends since 4th grade and we've talked almost every day since.  We work together every day.  She was my maid of honor.  We get along so well.  And she's leaving for a year.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

I enjoy my job for the most part.  It's not too awful.  But one of the main reasons I like it is because it's like hanging out with Andrea and getting paid for it.   I'm a little nervous that as soon as she leaves, I'm going to fall into some sort of work funk.  I can already feel it happening.  I need to figure out something to do.

Here are the options:

1 - Stay at the rec center.  This option would probably be the easiest.  The pros: I know almost everything there is to know.  I love the people.  I love my bosses. The cons: After 5 years, I've gotten kind of bored of it all.  I'm at the top of my pay scale, and can't possibly make any more.

2 - Get a new job.  This is a little bit of a jump off of a cliff.  It's sink or swim.  I could find one that I love and be SO happy, but I could also find one that I can't stand and be miserable.  I may not have a schedule that works for Kurt and I.  The pros: Higher pay rate.  New opportunities and maybe new friendships.  The cons: Leaving my little cacoon.  Driving further to work.  Possibly hating it.

3 - Go to school.  Now, the whole bachelor's degree thing isn't really for me.  If I went back to school, it would probably be more of a trade school.  I would probably be interested in medical assisting.  I think it's something I might be good at.  I want to do something that will put me into a career, not just a job.  The pros - I could finally get a career.  A sense of accomplishment.  Learn a new skill.  The cons - Lack of money for other things.  Less time with Kurt and with friends.

4 - Have a baby.  HA! Just kidding.  That is NOT an option!!!

Me Me Me Me Me

Molly - Oh my sweet little molly mo.  I miss this girl like crazy!  She's one of my very best friends and has been on a mission for the past 9 months and I just CANNOT wait for her to be home!  We've been friends since junior high and I'm sure we always will be.

Mary - I've got a pretty great boss.  She really cares about her job and all of her employees.  I'm really glad that we can be friends and not just co-workers. I can always count on her to send me random texts in the middle of the night.

Megan and Mandy- Megan is my new boss, but we've been friends for a long time.  We've been pals for a few years now and I'm really glad that she is finally back in my life full time :)  Mandy is such a hilarious person.  She's like cynical funny and I love it!  She and Megan make a great team!

Mother-in-law - Some people's are really awful.  Mine is really great!  She cares about us a lot and she shows it every day.  She would do anything for her family.  Even though we don't always see eye to eye, I really appreciate her!

Moulin Rouge - I love everything about this movie.  The music is great.  The actors are great.  I love it.  End of story.

Grateful

I've just got to say, I love my husband.  He's such a great guy.  I'm so happy to have him.

My Namesake

Last night I went to The Cheesecake Factory with some friends and I must say that this Stefanie's Red Velvet is to die for!  I was far too full to eat it last night, but I had it for lunch today and man oh man! Having a cheesecake named after you is the best!

Lots O' Letters Left!

Las Vegas - Las Vegas and I have a very complicated relationship.  It's definitely a love/hate kinda thing.  I've been SO many times and each time has been so different.  I always love going just to see what kind of crazy trip it's going to be this time.

Lost - Oh how you controlled my life for so long!  I LOVED Lost!  It was so complex and intricate.  So many characters and story lines that were all interconnected.  Finishing the whole thing at the Lost Party in Las Vegas was the perfect way to end it.

Lollicup - Most people probably don't know what this means.  That is such a shame!  It's a wonderfully delicious boba drink place that used to reside downtown.  It's been years but I still crave it every once in a while.

Love Stories - I can't help it.  It's innate.  I am drawn to any sort of love story.  Whether it be book, film, song or any other type of media.  It doesn't matter.  Lee Bryce's "Love Like Crazy" is such a great song.  It makes me believe in true and lasting love.

Laughing - Nothing makes a day better than a good laugh.  It can completely turn a day around.  That is what I love about working with Andrea.  She has always got me laughing my head off.  I'm really going to miss that!

Great Weekend

I had such a fun weekend!  On Friday I threw a birthday party for my friend Erin.  We had a campfire in our front yard and roasted dogs and mallows.  Then we set up a projector and a sheet and had an outdoor movie.  It was a blast.  Then yesterday my sister-in-law was hosting a pig roast at her house.  I was a little leery of the idea, but it was actually a ton of fun.  It was fun to chill outside all weekend.  I haven't done that in ages.

BFF Blog

I'm SO happy to announce that my PAL Natalie has finally gotten a blog!  Now I don't feel like such a goof.  She's very crafty and I can't wait to see all the fun things she makes and all the fun things she wants to say!

King Me!

Kindness  - I can't describe how much nicer it is to be treated kindly than not.  Some people are so rude, especially at work, and it makes me especially grateful for those people who are nice.  I really appreciate when my friends are kind to me.  Sometimes it's easier to be rude to the people you are closest to, but I really love when I'm treated nicely.

Kissing - I'll admit it.  I don't think that I could go back to a life of not kissing.  It's quite fun!  It's something that probably gets taken for granted, but I sure love getting kisses goodbye, and hello, and goodnight, and good morning.  I'm a newlywed.  What can I say?

5K - Okay maybe that was kind of a stretch.  I love working the 5ks and other races at my work.  They are so much fun!  It means getting up pretty early, but I think it's worth it.  Plus, I get a free shirt!  I'll do just about anything for a free shirt.  I did one once.  I pretty much bombed it.  I'm hoping to do another one in the next few months.

and of course.......

Kurt - He's just the greatest.  I just plain adore him.  He is incredibly sweet.  He's always doing nice things for me and I couldn't have found anyone better!  He is the perfect husband.  I really love spending my time with him.  I wish our schedules meshed a little better, but it makes the time we do spend together even better.

Stuck in a Rut

I need to do something crafty asap! That little craft part of my brain is just screaming at me to get something done.
Help!

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Jinkies!

Jeremy - I know this sounds crazy to have my loser ex-boyfriend on my list of things that I'm grateful for, but I really am grateful for him.  I'm actually really glad that he was such a jerk, because he made it so much easier for me to recognize how great of a guy Kurt is in comparison.

Jammin - There are just some songs that you just can't help but turn up and dance to.  When I started dating Kurt, he didn't like it when I sang in the car.  I really thought it might be a deal breaker.  Luckily he's come to his senses and just turned the music up a little higher so he can still enjoy the music while I'm jamming out.

Joy Riding - There is no better way to spend a day with my new husband than out on the motorcycle.  It's fun to just hop on the back and go somewhere, anywhere.  I enjoy not having to think about it, and just being along for the ride

Jacob - I was always a book Edward fan.  Through and through.  I mean I liked Jacob, and I felt awful for him when Bella toyed with his emotions, but it was always Edward that she was supposed to be with.  However, Taylor Lautner changed this for me.  He is one hot guy!  He kind of actually reminds me of one of Kurt's co-workers, but I can get over it for the hotness.  I'm definitely on Team Jacob now!

June - Oh they say when you marry in June, you're a bride all your life.  I sure hope its true.  I love June purely because it means summer, but now I have another reason.  I can't believe it rained the entire wedding day, but that's ok.  I'll always be a bride. :)

Obscured

So I'm a big square....but I'm so excited for Eclipse tomorrow night!  It's not really even the movie that I'm excited about.  I am just in it for the atmosphere.  It's fun to see all the people who are so excited, compare yourself to the even bigger squares, and even count the men in the audience.  P.S. Go Team Jacob

I Don't Know...

I - I know it's ridiculous, but I talk about myself a lot.  I can't help it.  It's just something that I know a lot about.  Obviously... this blog is all about me and my life.

Internet - I can't even express how grateful I am to have good, fast internet!  I grew up in a house with dial up and it always took FOREVER to load pages.  Now I can stream a whole movie without that awful buffering.  Go technology.

Intuition - I love being a woman.  And right along with that, I love having a "woman's intuition," because lets face it, I'm basically always right.  :)

Impress - My favorite thing ever is when I can answer a question that someone doesn't think I'll know the answer to.  Especially at work.  I really enjoy showing people how smart I really am and impressing them with this wealth of knowledge. Haha!

The Countdown

It's the last day of May.  I'm getting married June 11th.  That's soon.  I'm beginning to freak out a little bit.  I'm excited and everything, there is just so much to get done.  Hence the lack of blogging lately, as well as the length of this blog.  Hopefully I will be able to write again before the wedding, but if not, just call me Mrs. Amberboy. :)

Holla!

Hangover - No, not having one... I mean the movie! I have never watched a more quotable movie in all my life.  I can't help but crack up each and every time I watch it.  When I watch it I keep saying, "This is the best part!" over and over!  I can't pick one.  I just love it all SO much!

Heather - This girl is amazing!  She's been such a great friend to me and has always supported me in whatever I've wanted.  She never treats me like a child, and she trusts me with her secrets.  It's good to have family that are your friends, and I know she always will be.

Heart Attacking - Who doesn't enjoy hearing how much someone loves them?  I really enjoy posting hearts all over someone's room, or door, or car with reasons that I love them.  It's fun to see how many reasons I can come up with, and to see how happy they get when they see it.

House Bunny - Oh Anna Faris, you slay me!  Who would have thought that a movie about geeky girls trying to keep their lame sorority would be so great.  I didn't.  However, when Shelly yells out, "SWEET BALLS!" I lose it every time!

Holidays - I know you're thinking, "Who doesn't?" but my reason is different.  I really ABHOR working the front desk on holidays, but many holidays at the rec center mean special events.  I do quite enjoy working those.  It's fun to do something different and mix it up a little bit.

Like a crunchwrap...I'm good to go!

Girly - True, I spend a lot of time in jeans, flats, and t-shirts.  But I really do love getting all dolled up and girly.  There are so many great shoes and purses out there!  It feels great to feel like a girl every once in a while!

Gilmore Girls - I love this show!  It is so smart and witty.  They talk so fast, and with all the pop culture references, I find myself laughing out loud.  This mother/daughter team is so inspiring.   Who doesn't want to be the cool mom?  I know that I do!  It ended far too abruptly, and I'm still mad about them not tying up all the loose ends!

Good n' Plenty - These little guys are so good! I love me some black licorice!  They are substantially responsible for a bit of my previous weight gain.  Curse them!  I always turn to them when I'm having a bad day.

Glee - I know, I know.  I've already blogged about this, so I'll keep it short.  It's fun.  It's musical.  It's funny.  It's perfect.  I'm a gleek.  What can I say?

Girls Night - Kurt's friends are pretty much all married.  At first, this was a problem for me because I thought I had nothing in common with them.  However, I've had a complete turn around.  I love hanging out with their wives!  We have a great time and it is so much fun to let loose.  I can't wait for Vegas! :)

Full Time Fiancee

Family - I love going out to family dinner, or getting together for birthdays.  It's always highlight of my week.  My family reunions are always so much fun.  My great grandma really wanted us to keep the family together, and I don't want to disappoint. I'm really lucky to be marrying into a family that I like so much.

Facebook - I know, I know.  It's ridiculous, but I really enjoy it.  I love that I can see what is going on in everyone's lives and use it to stay in contact with people that I probably wouldn't otherwise.  I really do spend way too much time on it, but everyone has a guilty pleasure.

Flyers - Kuy itrt's favorite NHL team, as well as the team he plays on.  I wouldn't say that I LOVE hockey, but I have learned to enjoy it and I do love watching him play. I really love how happy it makes him when his team wins.  They went undefeated in their regular season and won the playoffs too.  Go Flyers!

Friends - My friends are amazing.  I know everyone thinks that their friends are the greatest, but no, they are wrong, mine really are the greatest.  They would always drop whatever they are doing to help me.  They have been huge helps in planning this wedding, and I really appreciate it.  BFFs forever!

Front Desk - As much as I complain about my job, I really do enjoy it.  It is nice to see the same people every day and be able to build relationships with them.  I enjoy being a wealth of knowledge about all of the programs and activities.  It's not what I want to do with my life, but I have enjoyed it for the last 5 years.

A New Low

Last night we went to dinner and went bowling for my friend Brittney's birthday.  It was a lot of fun.  However, I was the only person not to reach 100.  Crap dang!  I've been bowling a few times in the last couple of months and I'm not getting any better.  Therefore, I think I am going to get some bowling equipment and practice by myself a few afternoons a week.  I think that will help.  Let's hope!

Skinny Me

Ok, so really I'm just a big nerd.  I found this thing online where I could upload a picture of myself and they would show me what I would look like if I were to lose one, two, or three dress sizes.  So of course I picked three.  Obviously it's just been blurred and photoshopped, but still.  I must say that I look great.  Talk about inspiration!

Cake Class Final - Level 1

Here's the picture from my last cake class.  I definitely made quite the improvement!  And look at that, 5 not terrible roses!  This was really fun.  We're going to try and do level 2 on our own before we sign up for another class.  Hopefully I can keep this up!

Monday, April 26, 2010

Eeek!

Ellen - My aunt Ellen has always been really great.  When I was younger, and my dad wasn't able to take care of me for a while, she stepped in and offered up her home.  She is always being so generous and helping other people.  She's always been a mother figure for me.  We're very similar, and if I didn't look just like my dad, I'd swear I was her child.

Earth Day - Ok, so I'm a little behind.  I'm not saying that I'd rank it above Christmas, or Thanksgiving, but Earth Day is a holiday I can really enjoy.  I try to be green.  I'm no saint or anything but I like to recycle.  I turn off lights when I leave the room.  We've only got one earth, so lets keep it looking great for future generations.

Eloping - Don't freak out.  I didn't do it.  I only wish I had.  Planning the big wedding sounds like a lot of fun, but I'll admit, if someone said "Keep your money, I'll fly you to Vegas..." I'd definitely consider it.  I'm sure once the wedding comes, I'll be glad I waited, but right now... Eloping sounds great!

Engagement - I really do like wearing this ring on my finger.  Numerous times I've said, "It doesn't matter what I look like.  I'm engaged."  Haha!  It is very nice not to have to worry about impressing people all the time.  Hence my hairy legs...sorry Kurt.  It is also nice to know I've got Kurt forever.  :)

Email - Don't get me wrong, I prefer old fashioned letters, but it is really nice to hear from Molly via email.  She doesn't have a lot of time, and I know she can crank out a quick letter via email most of the time.  It is also how I keep in touch with my mom a lot of the time.  It's quick and easy. I like it.

Damn Gina!

Dates - Kurt and I live in the same house.  We see each other for hours every day.  We also go out to eat a lot.  However, there is something special about a date.  It's fun to get dressed up and have it just be the two of us.  It's a good way to keep our relationship fresh and fun.

Diet Coke - Although we're taking a little break until the wedding is over, I do love me some diet coke.  Specifically from Wendy's.  For some reason they seem to have the best tasting samples of this godly nectar.

Death Race 2000 (the original) - Made in 1975, this futuristic movie is awesome! It's set in the year 2000 where hit and run driving is no longer a felony, it's a national sport.  It's a race across the country and you get point for how many people you hit.  Children and the elderly are bonus points!

Dance Parties - With my friends, you never know when a dance party is going to break out.  My sweet little Molly is great.  Her cute dancing is one of the biggest things I miss about her while she's on her mission.

Disneyland - I'm not going to lie.  I tried to convince Kurt that this should be our honeymoon.  It really is a magical place.  I could spend a whole week there.  I really want to go around Halloween time and Christmas time.

Dear Fast Food

We have been together for a while now and lately I've been doing a bit of thinking about our relationship.  We met briefly when I was younger, and since I started driving and doing my own thing, it seems like you've been wanting to spend more and more time with me.  We've had a lot of fun together.  You've been there for me when I've had bad days at work, or felt ugly, or even when I just didn't have a lot of time.  I've really appreciated that.
Recently you've become just a little too clingy for me.  You're calling me on my drive home from work for lunch every day.  Each time I open the fridge and see that I have to MAKE something, my phone rings. Even late at night.  It's just too much.  I feel like I'm becoming more of a booty call for you.  I can't respect that.  I need someone who does more than just take from me.  I need a relationship I can trust to make me happy, someone who loves me.  That is why we've got to break up.  Sorry.

                                              Goodbye,

                                                        Stephanie

Cake Class

Here are the results of my second try at cake decorating.  This was sort of fun.  I did a GREAT job when we were practicing all the techniques on our practice boards.  I was making some great flowers and dots and all kinds of things.  However, when I started to try it on the actual cupcakes, I seemed to have lost most of the required skill.  I have one more assignment next week.  I definitely need to practice my rose so I don't become the ONLY student taught by my teacher to never do it correctly.  Wish me luck!

Crazy Lady

Crafts -  I am not real great at coming up with the craft ideas, but if someone is there to help me figure it out, or better yet, tell me what to do, I'm golden.  Sometimes my right brain screams at me, "DO SOMETHING CRAFTY!" I'd really like to start some sort of craft night with friends so I could get something done every once in a while.

Cats - Ok not ALL cats.  Just my cat.  He has the cutest little face and he adores me.  He follows me around the house and looks for me when I'm not there. He is one of my 2 favorite beings to take a nap with. I fell in love with him when he was 8 weeks old and now we can't be separated.  Poor Kurt and his allergies

Casinos - I have had a lot of good times in Las Vegas.  I think it's really cool that there are so many awesome things in various casinos.  I just like to wander through them and explore.  I'm really looking forward to my Vegas trip next month!

Cuddling - I know this one sounds a little crazy.  It's just the best.  It's so comfortable and nice.  How can anyone NOT like this?

Classifieds - You have no idea how much time I spend on KSL classifieds.  Probably way more than any sane person does.  I look at all kinds of things that I don't really need.  Maybe one day it will help me to get a really good deal on something.

Bam!

Bouquets - Kurt is really great about getting me flowers often and I really do appreciate it, even though I don't tell him enough.  It's nice to walk into a room and find a special surprise.  It always puts a smile on my face.

Blogs I've always been a snoop.  I'm not going to deny it.  This just makes it easier. :) I love to read the blogs of friends and family.  It's fun to see what everyone is up to and see their kids grow up.

Bagels - This is kind of a ridiculous one, but it's true.  I'd have them for breakfast every day if it wouldn't make me weight a million pounds.  On days that Kurt goes in to work later, he'll bring Andrea and I bagels and those are always the BEST days!

Boots - One thing that I definitely HATE is getting my feet wet in the rain or snow.  Boots are my winter savior!  It's amazing how much less whining I have done this past winter since I got myself a good pair of boots.

Blackberry - I've always been one to switch phones as often as I could.  I had a blackberry pearl for quite a while and I liked it enough.  Well when I switched to AT&T I went with a touch screen phone.  I miss my blackberry like crazy.  Some people love their iphones.  Well I, however, am a blackberry person through and through!

Birthdays - December 1st is the BEST day of my year. Haha!  It's perfectly fitting that Kurt's birthday is the day before mine.  I love birthday parties.  I love throwing them.  I love going to them.  I love being surprised by them.

The Letter A

A friend of mine has been posting things that she is grateful for each day according to a letter of the alphabet.  I may not be able to do it EVERY day, but I thought that it was a good idea.  I spend too much time thinking about myself anyway, so it's good to sit down and think about what I enjoy and am thankful for.  So...today I am grateful for:

Andrea - She's been one of my best friends since elementary school and she still is to this day. She is such a great example to me, and I don't tell her enough how much she means to me.  I am really grateful that I get to start my mornings with her each day at work.

Ashley - She would drop everything to help me any time, day or night. She has been there for me in some of the hardest times of my life.  She really is a great friend and I appreciate her for the person she is, and the person she has helped me to become.

April - The sun is shining and the flowers are in bloom.  I can finally take off my jackets and get a little color.  It's a preview to summer but it's still a great temperature.  I have been itching to wear my cute new shorts for months!

Adele - This girl has the voice of an angel. Her version of "Make You Feel My Love" is amazing, and it always makes me happy.  If you haven't heard her music, you should really check it out.  You won't be disappointed.

Ace of Cakes - This is the show on TV that I will ALWAYS pick if given the option.  I just watch in awe.  They make some of the coolest stuff and they seem like they are having such a great time doing it.  One day I'll be that good.  Just you wait!

My First Cake

I

I'm taking a cake decorating class with two of Kurt's sisters.

We did our first cake tonight.
It looks like it was made by a 5 year old,
but I had a lot of fun.

I have been in need of a hobby,
and this isn't terribly difficult.

Who knows, maybe it'll become my passion.

Ha!

Love

Yesterday Kurt and I had our
engagement photos taken.
  It was so much fun
aside from the crazy wind.
If you want a preview,
you can find it here.

BAH!

Obviously I spoke too soon.  I look out my window and what do I see?  A freaking BLIZZARD!

April

I am so glad that it is April!  I hate winter.  I don't like snow, or being cold, or the bottoms of my pants getting wet.  April usually signifies spring and warmth and beauty.  Unfortunately, this year has been quite the opposite.  Hopefully soon it will warm up a little!  My engagement pictures will be taken in 6 days, and I hope it's warm!!

long day

My friends Brittney and Geoff got married today.  I am so happy for them.  They are just the sweetest couple.  It was a full day for them.  Even though my day was a lot less full, it was crazy.

2:00 - 3:30 PM  Wedding Luncheon

3:30 - 4:00 PM Dress fitting for MY bridesmaids

5:00 - 5:20 PM Ring Ceremony

5:20 - 6:30 PM Waste time at Target while we wait.

6:30 - 8:30 Reception

Sheesh! It was really not too bad, but my dress was uncomfortable, and it seemed like it was too short so I was pulling it down the whole time.

I usually really enjoy weddings, but with mine so close, it actually was a hard day for me.  It made me really nervous.  I had an anxious feeling in the pit of my stomach all day.  Planning for it has been a roller coaster.  Sometimes it has been really fun and exciting, but I'm so ready for it to be here and over with.  I'm excited to BE married, not so much about GETTING married.  Of course I love Kurt.  And I can't wait to be his wife.  I just don't feel ready to be married.  I have no wife skills.  I guess those are learned.  I just need time to move a little bit faster.  I'm sure it's just cold feet.

My Name Is Stephanie....

and I'm having an affair with my television.

 I am in love!

I started watching GLEE with a couple friends yesterday, and I got hooked.

They let me borrow the first season and I am on a roll.

I happened to get off work early today so I started watching it when I got home.  I'm already on disk two!

This show is great!  It's hilarious!  And the music is SO good!

Curse talented people!
