Summer Kind of Busy

My summer is about swimming, snow cones, movies and camping.  Yesterday I got to do 3 of those things all in one day.

After work, Molly and Natalie, along with her niece and nephew, met me out on the pool deck.  We spent the afternoon playing in the water with the kids.  After that, we hit a snow cone place.  It was delicious!

Later that night, we met up with some of Kurt's friends for the midnight showing of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  I was pleasantly surprised!  Sequels aren't always that great, but I really enjoyed this one.

Next week: camping!

Week 4

This week's list wasn't hard at all.  Being a newlywed, and having a whole lot of nothing, it's not tough to make a wish list.

Week 3

I know that I kind of wrote about this yesterday, but today's list is about what you learned from your father.  I really like mine, so I think two blogs in a row about him is okay.

The Greatest Man

Happy Father's Day to the man who has always believed in me.  He has always been proud of me and has never hesitated to tell me.  He sacrificed so much to give me the life that he thought I deserved.  Raising a daughter had to be tough for a single man, but he made sure that I had every opportunity that any other girl would have.  We are so similar, and as a child, I wouldn't have appreciated that.  Being a grown woman, I now know how great it is to be just like him.  When I met my husband, and everyone questioned my decision, he stood by me.  He knew I would make the right decision.  He is a wonderful man, and I hope to always make him proud of me.

Happy Father's Day Dad!

Viva Las Vegas

Kurt and I took a few days off and headed down to Vegas for a little anniversary vacation.   We had a great time taking some time off to just be together.  There was a special on Cirque du Soleil shows, so we ended up seeing two.  We saw KA and Zumanity.  I knew KA would be great, but I was a little nervous about Zumanity.  They both were actually fantastic!  I wouldn't recommend going to Zumanity if you are offended by nudity though.  Zumanity was awesome because it was in a tiny, intimate arena and it was really cool to see all of the tricks up close.  KA was great because the stage moved in all kinds of ways!  It was incredible! I would LOVE to go again!

We've both been to Vegas a bunch of times, but we still took pictures like tourists, and here are some of the highlights.

Week 2

This week's list is about what you learned in a place you visited.  Kurt and I went to Mexico for our honeymoon.  We loved it there.  We learned so much about the people and the ancient cultures.  It was amazing, and we can't wait to go back.  So without further ado...

One down, forever to go.

You're the one
who knows my stories
gets my jokes
warms my feet
takes my side
ignores my quirks
finishes my sentences
soothes my worries

You're the one
who makes all my days better
and even makes me
a better me.
Happy 1st Anniversary!

52 Lists in 52 Weeks - Week 1

I've started following a new blog recently, and I'm already in love!  The post that struck me is called 52 lists in 52 weeks.  I am a list maker through and through!  She'll be posting a new list every Sunday, and has invited other bloggers to share their lists.  I am totally down with a task like this! I'm a little behind, but I figure if I post one today, I'll still be on track as far as the weeks go.  Week 1 here I come!

Guilty?

I've been trying to keep myself updated with the Casey Anthony trial, and it has blown my mind.  I have such a hard time understanding this woman and her family.  I can't fathom anyone killing their own child, and especially having no remorse for it, like she does!

(I know you're thinking, "She hasn't been proven guilty yet," but it's my blog, it's my opinion.)

There are so many people out there that would love to have a baby, and this woman was too busy partying to take care of hers.  It boggles my mind. She has been caught in so many lies, I just hope the jury can see it.  I am really afraid she'll get off because of a technicality.

I come home after work and watch the trial with my MIL.  Talk about family bonding.
