Skinny Me

Ok, so really I'm just a big nerd.  I found this thing online where I could upload a picture of myself and they would show me what I would look like if I were to lose one, two, or three dress sizes.  So of course I picked three.  Obviously it's just been blurred and photoshopped, but still.  I must say that I look great.  Talk about inspiration!

Cake Class Final - Level 1

Here's the picture from my last cake class.  I definitely made quite the improvement!  And look at that, 5 not terrible roses!  This was really fun.  We're going to try and do level 2 on our own before we sign up for another class.  Hopefully I can keep this up!

Eeek!

Ellen - My aunt Ellen has always been really great.  When I was younger, and my dad wasn't able to take care of me for a while, she stepped in and offered up her home.  She is always being so generous and helping other people.  She's always been a mother figure for me.  We're very similar, and if I didn't look just like my dad, I'd swear I was her child.

Earth Day - Ok, so I'm a little behind.  I'm not saying that I'd rank it above Christmas, or Thanksgiving, but Earth Day is a holiday I can really enjoy.  I try to be green.  I'm no saint or anything but I like to recycle.  I turn off lights when I leave the room.  We've only got one earth, so lets keep it looking great for future generations.

Eloping - Don't freak out.  I didn't do it.  I only wish I had.  Planning the big wedding sounds like a lot of fun, but I'll admit, if someone said "Keep your money, I'll fly you to Vegas..." I'd definitely consider it.  I'm sure once the wedding comes, I'll be glad I waited, but right now... Eloping sounds great!

Engagement - I really do like wearing this ring on my finger.  Numerous times I've said, "It doesn't matter what I look like.  I'm engaged."  Haha!  It is very nice not to have to worry about impressing people all the time.  Hence my hairy legs...sorry Kurt.  It is also nice to know I've got Kurt forever.  :)

Email - Don't get me wrong, I prefer old fashioned letters, but it is really nice to hear from Molly via email.  She doesn't have a lot of time, and I know she can crank out a quick letter via email most of the time.  It is also how I keep in touch with my mom a lot of the time.  It's quick and easy. I like it.

Damn Gina!

Dates - Kurt and I live in the same house.  We see each other for hours every day.  We also go out to eat a lot.  However, there is something special about a date.  It's fun to get dressed up and have it just be the two of us.  It's a good way to keep our relationship fresh and fun.

Diet Coke - Although we're taking a little break until the wedding is over, I do love me some diet coke.  Specifically from Wendy's.  For some reason they seem to have the best tasting samples of this godly nectar.

Death Race 2000 (the original) - Made in 1975, this futuristic movie is awesome! It's set in the year 2000 where hit and run driving is no longer a felony, it's a national sport.  It's a race across the country and you get point for how many people you hit.  Children and the elderly are bonus points!

Dance Parties - With my friends, you never know when a dance party is going to break out.  My sweet little Molly is great.  Her cute dancing is one of the biggest things I miss about her while she's on her mission.

Disneyland - I'm not going to lie.  I tried to convince Kurt that this should be our honeymoon.  It really is a magical place.  I could spend a whole week there.  I really want to go around Halloween time and Christmas time.

Dear Fast Food

We have been together for a while now and lately I've been doing a bit of thinking about our relationship.  We met briefly when I was younger, and since I started driving and doing my own thing, it seems like you've been wanting to spend more and more time with me.  We've had a lot of fun together.  You've been there for me when I've had bad days at work, or felt ugly, or even when I just didn't have a lot of time.  I've really appreciated that.
Recently you've become just a little too clingy for me.  You're calling me on my drive home from work for lunch every day.  Each time I open the fridge and see that I have to MAKE something, my phone rings. Even late at night.  It's just too much.  I feel like I'm becoming more of a booty call for you.  I can't respect that.  I need someone who does more than just take from me.  I need a relationship I can trust to make me happy, someone who loves me.  That is why we've got to break up.  Sorry.

                                              Goodbye,

                                                        Stephanie

Cake Class

Here are the results of my second try at cake decorating.  This was sort of fun.  I did a GREAT job when we were practicing all the techniques on our practice boards.  I was making some great flowers and dots and all kinds of things.  However, when I started to try it on the actual cupcakes, I seemed to have lost most of the required skill.  I have one more assignment next week.  I definitely need to practice my rose so I don't become the ONLY student taught by my teacher to never do it correctly.  Wish me luck!

Crazy Lady

Crafts -  I am not real great at coming up with the craft ideas, but if someone is there to help me figure it out, or better yet, tell me what to do, I'm golden.  Sometimes my right brain screams at me, "DO SOMETHING CRAFTY!" I'd really like to start some sort of craft night with friends so I could get something done every once in a while.

Cats - Ok not ALL cats.  Just my cat.  He has the cutest little face and he adores me.  He follows me around the house and looks for me when I'm not there. He is one of my 2 favorite beings to take a nap with. I fell in love with him when he was 8 weeks old and now we can't be separated.  Poor Kurt and his allergies

Casinos - I have had a lot of good times in Las Vegas.  I think it's really cool that there are so many awesome things in various casinos.  I just like to wander through them and explore.  I'm really looking forward to my Vegas trip next month!

Cuddling - I know this one sounds a little crazy.  It's just the best.  It's so comfortable and nice.  How can anyone NOT like this?

Classifieds - You have no idea how much time I spend on KSL classifieds.  Probably way more than any sane person does.  I look at all kinds of things that I don't really need.  Maybe one day it will help me to get a really good deal on something.

Bam!

Bouquets - Kurt is really great about getting me flowers often and I really do appreciate it, even though I don't tell him enough.  It's nice to walk into a room and find a special surprise.  It always puts a smile on my face.

Blogs I've always been a snoop.  I'm not going to deny it.  This just makes it easier. :) I love to read the blogs of friends and family.  It's fun to see what everyone is up to and see their kids grow up.

Bagels - This is kind of a ridiculous one, but it's true.  I'd have them for breakfast every day if it wouldn't make me weight a million pounds.  On days that Kurt goes in to work later, he'll bring Andrea and I bagels and those are always the BEST days!

Boots - One thing that I definitely HATE is getting my feet wet in the rain or snow.  Boots are my winter savior!  It's amazing how much less whining I have done this past winter since I got myself a good pair of boots.

Blackberry - I've always been one to switch phones as often as I could.  I had a blackberry pearl for quite a while and I liked it enough.  Well when I switched to AT&T I went with a touch screen phone.  I miss my blackberry like crazy.  Some people love their iphones.  Well I, however, am a blackberry person through and through!

Birthdays - December 1st is the BEST day of my year. Haha!  It's perfectly fitting that Kurt's birthday is the day before mine.  I love birthday parties.  I love throwing them.  I love going to them.  I love being surprised by them.

The Letter A

A friend of mine has been posting things that she is grateful for each day according to a letter of the alphabet.  I may not be able to do it EVERY day, but I thought that it was a good idea.  I spend too much time thinking about myself anyway, so it's good to sit down and think about what I enjoy and am thankful for.  So...today I am grateful for:

Andrea - She's been one of my best friends since elementary school and she still is to this day. She is such a great example to me, and I don't tell her enough how much she means to me.  I am really grateful that I get to start my mornings with her each day at work.

Ashley - She would drop everything to help me any time, day or night. She has been there for me in some of the hardest times of my life.  She really is a great friend and I appreciate her for the person she is, and the person she has helped me to become.

April - The sun is shining and the flowers are in bloom.  I can finally take off my jackets and get a little color.  It's a preview to summer but it's still a great temperature.  I have been itching to wear my cute new shorts for months!

Adele - This girl has the voice of an angel. Her version of "Make You Feel My Love" is amazing, and it always makes me happy.  If you haven't heard her music, you should really check it out.  You won't be disappointed.

Ace of Cakes - This is the show on TV that I will ALWAYS pick if given the option.  I just watch in awe.  They make some of the coolest stuff and they seem like they are having such a great time doing it.  One day I'll be that good.  Just you wait!

My First Cake

I

I'm taking a cake decorating class with two of Kurt's sisters.

We did our first cake tonight.
It looks like it was made by a 5 year old,
but I had a lot of fun.

I have been in need of a hobby,
and this isn't terribly difficult.

Who knows, maybe it'll become my passion.

Ha!

Love

Yesterday Kurt and I had our
engagement photos taken.
  It was so much fun
aside from the crazy wind.
If you want a preview,
you can find it here.

BAH!

Obviously I spoke too soon.  I look out my window and what do I see?  A freaking BLIZZARD!

April

I am so glad that it is April!  I hate winter.  I don't like snow, or being cold, or the bottoms of my pants getting wet.  April usually signifies spring and warmth and beauty.  Unfortunately, this year has been quite the opposite.  Hopefully soon it will warm up a little!  My engagement pictures will be taken in 6 days, and I hope it's warm!!
