Grow Reunion

Every two years my family holds a big family reunion.  It is so nice to see everyone that I haven't seen in a long time, and do fun things together.  This year's reunion was at Liberty Park.  I had a lot of fun!

Week 9

I have had a great year, and especially a great summer.  There are so many more fun things coming my way.  I can't wait!

 

Week 8

It seems that I am right on board with the guest poster this week who decided that this week's list would be about being a great companion.  Lately I've been trying especially hard to be a better wife, friend, and co-worker. 

Staycation!

Let me just take a second to say that this is my 100TH post!  I'm official now!  That's why this post is going to be really long!  Well, that and I haven't posted in a while.
 

Last weekend I did a lot!  Thursday night was the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.  It was a BLAST!  There were so many people dressed up, and it was incredible! We had a really good crew there, and I don't think it could have been more fun.

I spent Friday night up at a cabin in Oakley with some friends for my pal Erin's birthday.  We had a blast!  It's so fun to get up into the mountains and away from all of the drama around town and spend some time with my best gals.

 We went on a little nature hike.  Super fun!

 I don't really love scary bridges, so I hung back behind and talked with Brittney and Natalie.

We can't wait to go back!

Kurt and I took a couple of days and had a little staycation. It was fun to do things around town that I've never done before.  I spent a whole day crafting, and the next day we went up to Ogden for lunch at a pizza place called Tony's, and hosted a bbq with some family.  

We took a drive up to Snowbird to ride the tram and hike around for a little while.

The view was beautiful!  You could see the whole valley way back behind the mountains.

The best part of the long weekend was picking up my BFF Andrea from the airport.  She's been in France for almost a year.  It is so great to have her back!

Week 7

I love the rain...if I'm wearing the correct gear.  I don't like to be damp and uncomfortable, but I do love the smell of the rain, and the sound of the rain.  I love to see little kids out in the rain.   Rain and I love each other from a distance.

A Bunch of Big Kids

My friend Mandy just turned 30.  She decided to celebrate her birthday by being a kid again.  We went to Boondocks Fun Center and did all kinds of fun stuff.  We went mini golfing, and bowling, we played in the arcade, and we raced go-carts.  It was a blast!

The Great Outdoors

Kurt and I spent a few days up in Idaho camping with some of his family.  We had a blast! We've been going up with them for a few years now, and I'm starting to really look forward to it as a summer tradition.

Week 6

This week's list is about things we need to let go of.  Sometimes it seems like I'm holding myself back, and if I could just let go, I would be happier.

Week 5

As I'm getting ready for this camping trip, I'm looking for books to read.  That is exactly what this week's list is about.
